Miami’s $137 Million 410-Unit Senior Health and Living Community

Douglas Gardens Residence is Broward County's latest senior health and living community. This development marks a significant milestone as it brings forth the county's most expansive affordable living development catering to seniors. The project is being developed by Miami Jewish Health (MJH), a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing healthcare and living options for older adults, in conjunction with McDowell Housing Partners, a prominent real estate investment and development firm.

The forthcoming project will establish a revitalized mixed-income community, seamlessly integrating healthcare and housing within a single development to cater to the needs of local seniors. This transformative initiative will take shape on MJH's existing 25-acre Douglas Gardens North Campus, serving as a cohesive and modernized living environment for the community's elderly residents.

Nelson Mullins represented McDowell Housing Partners in the partnership. The primary attorneys on the deal were partners Roman Petra, Shahrzad Emami, and David F. Leon. They were assisted by Melissa VanSickle, Robert Alfert, Lloyd Burman, Samantha Dangelo, Deidre Fragapane, Peter Schoemann, Yisell Rodriguez, Chip Gray, and Drew Bennett.
