Howard focuses his practice on working with public and private financial institutions as well as non-bank financial services companies on all aspects of their business. He has extensive experience advising clients in the areas of commercial lending, corporate finance, mortgage lending, secondary market transactions, compliance, and corporate governance. He most recently served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Human Resources Officer for a $2.5+ billion publicly traded Maryland bank before its acquisition in February of 2022.  With his business background, Howard is uniquely qualified to craft legal solutions with an understanding of his clients’ business goals and routinely serves as outside general counsel to clients involved with financial services.
