Columbia, S.C. – Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP is pleased to announce that Brook Andrews has joined the firm’s litigation group as a partner based in the Columbia, South Carolina office. A seasoned litigator and former Acting United States Attorney for the District of South Carolina, Andrews brings a wealth of experience in fraud investigations and government enforcement actions at both federal and state levels.

In his role as Acting U.S. Attorney, Andrews led all federal law enforcement activities across the state, managing a team of approximately 140 professionals in offices spanning Columbia, Charleston, Greenville, and Florence. His work included oversight of major cases involving healthcare fraud, securities fraud, public corruption, national security, and other complex white-collar matters.
During his tenure as a federal prosecutor, Andrews led and supervised numerous high-profile investigations and prosecutions, handling corporate criminal resolutions, False Claims Act violations, and appeals before the Fourth Circuit. Prior to his government service, he represented State Attorneys General in large-scale multistate consumer protection litigation.

Andrews began his legal career through the U.S. Department of Justice’s prestigious Attorney General’s Honors Program. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he teaches Appellate Advocacy and courtroom practice.
