Adam Herring Joins Nelson Mullins in Atlanta

ATLANTA – Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP, a national law firm, is pleased to announce that Adam Herring has joined the firm in its Atlanta office as of counsel. Herring focuses his practice on bankruptcy, restructuring, consumer financial services regulation, and related litigation. As former associate general counsel in the Department of Justice’s U.S. Trustee Program, he provided senior-level strategic guidance for high-profile bankruptcy matters, managed litigation teams for significant multi-jurisdictional cases, and negotiated resolutions in nationwide matters involving financial institutions and other parties.

Herring has experience in out of court restructurings, and representing debtors and creditors in Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases and parties in bankruptcy-related litigation, including as trial counsel in fraudulent and preferential transfer avoidance actions.

He earned his JD from Emory University School of Law and a BA in International Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Herring will work on partner Rusty Fleming’s team, directly reporting to partner Lee Hart.
