Boston partner Matthew Lindenbaum and Charlotte partner Robert Lindholm forge ahead in the representation of their client, Poloniex LLC, as the Tether suit sees increasing attention. An article published by Law360 details the allegations against Roche Freedman’s Kyle Roche resulting in the push for his entire firm to be terminated from the suit.
After Roche allegedly made a “secret pact” with blockchain company Ava Labs to sue outside competitors, Poloniex and other defendants in the case have urged to have Roche’s founding firm removed from the case completely considering the “troubling questions” that have been raised about “the firm’s use of the discovery process in this matter."
Regardless of the accuracy of the allegations against Roche, Roche Freedman maintains that the firm and its other 24 lawyers are not defined by these allegations and should not be held accountable for them.
Lindenbaum focuses his practice at Nelson Mullins on high-stakes litigation with an emphasis on class action defense in the automotive and financial services industries, including the emerging crypto-currency industry.
Lindholm focuses his practice at Nelson Mullins on government investigations and white collar defense, high stakes business litigation and class action defense, and e-discovery and litigation readiness.
