Partner Jason Epstein Quoted in Legaltech News Article on 2026 Predictions for AI
Nelson Mullins partner Jason Epstein was quoted in Legaltech News’ series on predictions for 2026 in an article offering expert predictions for how AI will shape legal services, change the business of law, and impact the courts and law in the upcoming year.
Epstein discussed, “In 2026, the number of legal AI vendors will continue to explode. Teams will struggle to navigate a sea of current vendors adding AI, pure-play entrants, and enterprise LLMs (and combinations thereof). Buyers will see overlapping products built on the same LLMs. Actual adoption will not be extensive even after purchases are made. Preparing data for AI and exploring agentic tools will be a priority. ‘ROI’ will expand beyond cost savings to workflows, infrastructure, talent, and competitive advantage. Market consolidation will accelerate as legacy firms choose ‘buy vs. build’ to match agile, sales-driven tech players, which will also begin to consolidate.”
