Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP has tapped two practice vice chairs to take the helm of the bankruptcy and financial restructuring group, the firm announced Wednesday.
Bankruptcy and financial restructuring partners Shane Ramsey and Dylan Trache are taking over as co-chairs of the practice group from retiring Miami partner Gary Freedman, who joined Florida-based Broad & Cassell LLP in 2017 before the firm merged with Nelson Mullins in 2018. Freedman plans to retire this year after a 37-year career that began with more than two decades as managing partner of Florida's Tabas Freedman & Soloff PA.
Ramsey became vice chair of the practice in 2017, while Trache has held that role since 2022, according to Nelson Mullins.
"We are incredibly grateful for Gary's decades of dedication as a lawyer, but also his mentorship as we transition into our new roles as co-chairs of the practice group," Ramsey said in a statement Wednesday. "And I am excited to take on this challenge head-on with Dylan as we lead the practice and continue the growth we've experienced over the last decade."
