Nelson Mullins Helps Launch Rural Healthcare Initiative to Keep Hospitals Open

Daily Report

Rural hospital closures have been a major concern in the healthcare industry for the past two decades, and they hit an all-time high in 2019 when 18 shuttered, according to industry observers. Often when a rural hospital closes, that county is left with no other emergency healthcare options.

Raleigh Managing Partner Bob Wilson and Atlanta healthcare attorney Jennifer Malinovsky discuss this disturbing trend with Am Law's Daily Report. Nelson Mullins has joined three other businesses with healthcare experience in launching the Rural Healthcare Initiative, a collaboration formed to address the rural healthcare crisis in the Southeast and across the nation.
