In a profile published by the Baltimore Business Journal on Leaders in Diversity, partner Kraig Long discusses the importance of law firm diversity efforts and the impact on his career in being in a historically white male dominated profession.
Long addresses what a company or law firm needs to do to be intentional about addressing diversity, equity, and inclusion: "This question vexes a lot of companies. One thing is about giving people opportunity. We've seen [people of color] take on more leadership roles, more women in roles. And you may say that's pandering, but ultimately I do believe when folks are in those roles, they will perform just as they would expect anyone else to perform. So that's the question: how can you be successful."
