Atlanta partner Josh Kirschner is set to present at the SBC Summit Americas in Fort Lauderdale, FL from June 9-11.

Alongside his co-panelists, Sara Tait with Fanatics Betting and Gaming and Ian Thomas with Offit Kurman P.A., Kirschner will present, “Prediction Markets – Cross-Border Legal Challenges and the Role of Gaming Regulation.” The group will explore the rapid rise of prediction markets and the growing regulatory uncertainty surrounding them, as authorities struggle to classify these platforms as gambling, financial instruments, or a new hybrid category. Focusing on differences between the United States and Latin America, the discussion will examine how various legal frameworks are being applied, whether existing gambling laws remain adequate, and how enforcement priorities are evolving. Panelists will also address key issues such as licensing, consumer protection, market integrity, and the balance between innovation and regulation, while considering whether global approaches may eventually align or continue to diverge.
