Partners Katie Baker and Joshua Kirschner will participate in the 2026 NEXT Summit in New York from March 10-11.

Alongside her co-panelists, Nick Gunn with SEON, Jeff Laniado with Optimove, Thomas Metzger with Lotto.com, and Dan Portnov with Splash Sports, Baker will present “Emerging Verticals: Where iGaming Innovation Goes from Here.” This panel will convene senior industry leaders to examine where the greatest online gaming opportunities may emerge over the next five years, unpack the regulatory implications of new and evolving formats, and discuss practical strategies for piloting and scaling innovation responsibly, while safeguarding players and upholding market integrity.

Separately, Kirschner will present, “Predicting Prediction: A Legal Forecast for U.S. Prediction Markets,” alongside his co-panelist, Rob Schwartz with Morgan, Lewis and Bockius LLP, and moderator, Andrew Kim with Goodwin Procter LLP. The group will discuss the accelerating legal and regulatory scrutiny surrounding prediction markets in the United States as the industry gains momentum. The session will highlight the most significant recent legal developments and explore what may lie ahead, including the potential for U.S. Supreme Court review.

Baker is the Chair of the Gaming Industry Group at the firm. She is a gaming regulatory attorney and litigator who assists casino gaming, igaming, sports betting, and fantasy sports operators, vendors, and entrepreneurs to navigate the state and federal, commercial and tribal gaming landscape, including leveraging fintech solutions.

Kirschner plays a key role in the firm’s Gaming Industry Group practice. His work focuses on advising gaming clients on litigation, regulatory and strategic risk assessment in connection with various gaming operations, business transactions and disputes, and crisis management and response.
