Six Nelson Mullins attorneys and staff recently participated in a Lawyers 4 Vets clinic and handled 20 legal matters, including a dozen simple wills and medical powers of attorneys for military veterans. 

South Carolina Appleseed Legal Justice Center, in partnership with William Jennings Dorn VA Medical Center and in coordination with and support from Nelson Mullins, launched the Lawyers 4 Vets pro bono legal clinic for lower-income veterans in South Carolina in May 2014. As a pro bono legal clinic, Lawyers 4 Vets sets appointments for these veterans seeking legal guidance or representation from volunteer South Carolina Bar attorneys for child support modifications, expungements or pardons, simple wills, identification, and consumer protection matters. The clinic takes place every third Thursday at the VA Medical Center.
