Experience

  • Represented clients, including Fortune 500 companies, in business and appellate litigation in South Carolina state and federal trial and appellate courts.
  • Served as the principal brief author in appeals to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the South Carolina Supreme Court, and the South Carolina Court of Appeals.
  • Argued cases before the Supreme Court of South Carolina and South Carolina Court of Appeals.
  • Served as embedded issues and appeals counsel in multiple trials, helping to guide and oversee trial objections and ensure issue preservation.
  • Provided pro bono appellate representation to indigent persons in appeals to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the South Carolina Supreme Court, and the South Carolina Court of Appeals.
  • Drafted dozens of wills for first responders as part of the Firm’s “Wills for Heroes” pro bono program.
  • Assisted the cities of Florence, Spartanburg, and Rock Hill with organizing and establishing their respective Homeless Courts
