Nelson Mullins partner Darren Skyles will speak at the Iowa Hospital Association (IHA) Governance Forum on March 10, 2026, in Des Moines, Iowa.

 The IHA Governance Forum brings together hospital trustees, executives, and health system leaders to discuss governance responsibilities, healthcare trends, advocacy initiatives, and leadership competencies affecting hospitals and health systems.

Skyles will present, “AI Governance in Healthcare: Measure Twice, Cut Once,” a session focused on the governance, regulatory, and organizational considerations associated with the growing use of artificial intelligence in hospitals and health systems. The presentation will address best practices for developing AI governance programs, including structural, legal, and compliance considerations, as well as emerging federal and state laws affecting the use of AI in healthcare.
