Bank Fintech Fundamentals

Themis Banking School

Hosted by: Themis and Nelson Mullins

Join Themis and Nelson Mullins for “Themis Banking School: Bank Fintech Fundamentals.” In this session, Themis’ Vice President of GTM Strategy and Customer Relationships Dana Lawrence will join Nelson Mullins attorneys Craig Nazzaro and Marianna McDevitt to provide a comprehensive overview of the evolving relationship between banks and fintech companies, highlighting the benefits, risks, and regulatory considerations of such partnerships. Speakers will explore a wide range of fintech solutions—from digital banking and AI-driven underwriting to Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS).

Nelson Mullins partner Craig Nazzaro advises a variety of entities on all regulatory and compliance issues that impact the financial services industry including banks, non-bank lenders, servicers, investors, third party payment processors, and debt collectors. He also defends clients against charges of liability and regulatory violations.

Nelson Mullins associate Marianna McDevitt focuses her practice on regulatory and compliance matters related to financial services, consumer lending, payments, alternative lending, and other non-bank financial services. She advises clients on a variety of topics including bank-fintech relationships, card programs, payment processing regimes, money transmission, blockchain, data privacy and security compliance, and regulatory compliance ranging from fair lending to FTC marketing guidelines.

Dana Lawrence, CIA, CRMA, CFSA, CAMS, CRVPM is an accomplished executive and global thought leader at the intersection of banking, fintech, and emerging technology.
