A Nelson Mullins team led by partner Rob Klingler, with support from Troy Varrasse and Clara Noble, represented Brean Capital in connection with a $67 million private placement for Climate First Bancorp, Inc. Brean Capital served as the sole placement agent in the transaction, which closed on June 10, 2026.

The funding round was led by Wellington Management and AllianceBernstein Holding LP and marked Climate First’s first equity raise from institutional investors. With the completion of this transaction, Climate First has raised a total of $222 million over the past five years. 

Climate First Bancorp, headquartered in Winter Park, Florida, is the parent company of Climate First Bank and OneEthos Inc. The organization focuses on financing solutions for residential and commercial solar projects through its banking and fintech platforms.

To date, Climate First Bank has financed more than $555 million in residential and commercial solar projects, while OneEthos has originated more than $450 million in solar loans supporting over 9,300 individual solar installations.
