Miami partner John Haley and senior associate Franco Furmanski recently presented to a delegation of 25 tech companies visiting from Argentina. They were invited to present by Maximiliano Krause, CEO of KE&S Latam Business Law, a seasoned Argentine lawyer who has established a business consultancy firm in Miami. The presentation covered aspects of U.S. law that foreign tech companies should consider when doing business in the United States, ranging from basic corporate formation to intellectual property considerations and exit strategies, including IPO and SPAC transactions.
The companies were visiting as part of a trip organized by the Argentinean consulate. They conduct business in a range of sectors, including software design, FinTech, AgTech, artificial intelligence, logistics, app development, LegalTech, and EdTech.
Haley's and Furmanski’s practice focuses on a variety of cross-border and domestic corporate finance and M&A matters in a wide variety of sectors and industries, with a focus on energy, infrastructure, transportation, technology, and media.
