Nelson Mullins’ Bart Daniel and Matt Austin are presenters at the annual Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) Compliance Institute. The two will be discussing the T4C CARES ACT and Stimulus Act Fraud. Their presentation will focus on avoiding landmines associated with PPP loans, the DOJ’s growing scrutiny of CARES Act funding, and what Labs and Commercial Payors need to know about kickbacks and federal law enforcement.

This year’s HCCA Compliance Institute conference runs Monday, April 19 through Thursday, April 22. Daniel and Austin will present on April 20. The full agenda can be found online.

Daniel is a partner as well as a first-chair veteran trial lawyer. He has served as past president for the National Association of Former United States Attorneys and is currently the co-chair of the firm’s white collar crime defense and government investigations team.

Austin is of counsel, focusing on healthcare and white collar litigation. He has served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the United States Attorney’s Office, where he was cross-designated to handle both criminal and civil matters, and an Assistant Solicitor in South Carolina’s First Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
