Nelson Mullins, Miami Dade College Present Women in FinTech Conference

Nelson Mullins and Miami Dade College will kick off Miami Tech Month with the inaugural Women in FinTech (“WinFin”) Conference. Panels of nationally recognized thought leaders will share insights on FinTech’s global development. Speakers include:

Nelson Mullins launched WinFin, its newest affinity group, to support, and present, women as leaders in the space of FinTech. Leading the firm’s efforts are partners Katherine Baker and Erin Kolmansberger, associates Jillian Hart, Megan Kilissanly, and Rebecca Lester, and Richard Levin, who chairs the firm’s FinTech and Regulation practice.

“The goal of WinFin is to connect, support, and elevate women in FinTech, both inside and outside of the Firm,” said Baker. Kolmansberger added, “Internally, we want to build a community of women interested in or practicing in the area of FinTech to provide networking and business development opportunities. Externally, we hope to enhance our legal services as a team to support women entrepreneurs in FinTech and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the industry.”

FinTech (financial technology) refers to the products and companies that employ newly developed digital and online technologies in the banking and financial services industries. Nelson Mullins’ FinTech team includes more than 40 attorneys with experience in the industry.
