Continuing the FinTech University series, join the chair of Nelson Mullins FinTech and Regulation Practice, Richard Levin, employment litigation attorneys Chris Eby and John Veysey, employment benefits attorney Matthew Zischke, and tax attorney Drew Hermiller, for this one-hour session, "Employment Compensation Issues." Levin will moderate. Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit will be sought for all attorneys who request such and certificates of attendance are available for CPE purposes. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
Levin chairs the firm's FinTech and Regulation Practice. He advises clients on corporate, FinTech, securities, and regulatory issues.
Eby focuses on employment litigation and counseling. He has represented employers before federal and state courts and agencies in a variety of employment matters, including Title VII discrimination and harassment claims, wage and hour class and collective actions, claims brought under the Americans with Disabilities Act and Family and Medical Leave Act, and noncompete and trade secret enforcement.
Veysey maintains a national practice focused primarily on business litigation and labor and employment law. He has experience litigating complex matters in state, federal, and MDL venues throughout the country, including at trial, mediation, arbitration, and before administrative bodies.
Zischke has experience advising all types of employers on a variety of benefits matters, including design, implementation, and administration of employee benefit plans such as defined benefit, defined contribution (e.g. 401(k) and 403(b)), equity incentive, deferred compensation, and health and welfare arrangements. His experience includes SIMPLE IRA, ESOP, cafeteria, wrap, HRAs, HSAs, and severance plans.
Hermiller practices with the tax and benefits group and has experience counseling clients on complex domestic and cross border transactional tax matters, including all manner of taxable and tax–free mergers and acquisitions, partnership taxation, REIT taxation, debt and equity financing, audit defense, and tax reporting.
