She represents companies at the forefront of innovation across a wide range of industries and handles complex IP litigation and dispute resolution matters involving cutting-edge technologies.

In addition to her patent and IP litigation practice, Tammy leads trademark prosecution strategies, developing and implementing tailored domestic and global branding programs. She advises clients across diverse sectors, including emerging technologies, fashion, and the arts, on building, protecting, and optimizing their brand portfolios.

Tammy has extensive first- and second-chair trial experience in high-stakes matters involving patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret, unfair competition, and antitrust disputes. Representative Experience

Tammy represents clients in high-stakes patent and IP litigation across a broad range of industries, including semiconductors and electronics, software and platform technologies, consumer products, medical and life sciences technologies, energy and industrial systems, and emerging materials and advanced manufacturing. She is a first-chair patent trial lawyer who can step into any technology or industry and try the case—distilling complex technical issues into clear, compelling narratives for courts, juries, and tribunals.

Patent Litigation & Trial Work

  • Lead trial counsel in complex federal patent litigation involving technologies including consumer products and electronics, securing a multi-million-dollar jury verdict for patent owner, including findings of willful infringement against the opposing party.
  • Defended patent infringement cases for clients in semiconductor, electronics, software, and advanced manufacturing sectors, including actions brought by non-practicing entities, achieving early and favorable resolutions where appropriate.
  • Secured a finding of inequitable conduct rendering asserted patents unenforceable in an oil-and-gas-technology patent dispute.
  • Represented parties in high-value, multi-million-dollar patent disputes involving mechanical, electrical, and software technologies, achieving favorable outcomes through summary judgment and strategic resolution.
  • Lead trial counsel in parallel district court and PTAB proceedings involving electronics and software patents, obtaining litigation stays and invalidation of asserted claims.

PTAB / Federal Circuit Appeals

  • Challenged patents before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board across technologies including consumer products and electronics, software platforms, communications systems, automotive technologies, and industrial components, securing favorable institution and final written decisions.
  • Defended patents before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board across technologies including consumer products and electronics, software platforms, communications systems, and industrial components, securing favorable institution and final written decisions.
  • Represented patent owner on appeal before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, obtaining affirmance of multiple PTAB decisions.

International Trade Commission (Section 337)

  • Co-lead counsel for complainant in Section 337 investigation involving patent infringement claims related to consumer products that went through full evidentiary hearing, obtaining a general exclusion order against any importer seeking to import infringing products, which was upheld by the Commission.
  • Lead counsel for multiple respondents in Section 337 investigation involving patent infringement claims related to imported products in a variety of industries and sectors, achieving a finding of no violation following expedited domestic industry evidentiary hearing.
  • Represented multiple respondents in Section 337 investigation involving patent infringement claims related to imported consumer products, achieving favorable outcomes through summary determination and resolution.

Trademark, Copyright, Trade Secret & Business Tort Litigation

  • Lead counsel in trademark infringement case in federal court and parallel Trademark Trial and Appeal Board proceedings, achieving favorable outcomes through strategic resolution prior to preliminary injunction hearing in district court.
  • Tried architectural copyright case to jury verdict and successfully defended the judgment on appeal.
  • Represented clients in trade secret and business tort disputes involving proprietary technology, product design, and competitive business practices, obtaining temporary injunctive relief and jury verdicts in favor of clients.

Injunctive Relief & Expedited Proceedings

  • Lead counsel for patent owner product-based company in patent infringement case involving consumer products, obtaining preliminary injunctive relief in favor of client.
  • Represented technology and product-based companies in fast-moving disputes requiring preliminary injunction relief, including matters involving competitive products and proprietary technology, achieving favorable results under compressed timelines.
