Steven is the Managing Partner of the New York office. Steve represents lenders in a variety of transactions, including the origination of CMBS, bridge and balance sheet loans (mortgage and mezzanine) secured by multifamily, retail, office, hotel, industrial and other properties, the making of preferred equity investments, the origination and acquisition of participation interests, and serving as Loan Seller counsel. Prior to opening the New York office, Steve spent eleven years (most recently as an executive director) in the CMBS group of a national bank, where he structured and closed CMBS loans for single and multi–borrower securitizations.
