She has authored "The Scrivener" column for the South Carolina Lawyer Magazine for over 20 years, authored and co-authored books on tort law, insurance coverage and bad faith, and legal writing, and her extensive experience and dedication to teaching legal writing earned her two South Carolina Law Review Distinguished Alumni Awards. She currently serves on the South Carolina Bar Board of Governors and serves as chair of the South Carolina Bar House of Delegates, co-chair of the Judicial Qualifications Committee, and works as an adjunct faculty member at the University of South Carolina School of Law.
