Peter is an experienced litigator, focusing primarily on administrative law, products liability defense, business litigation, and appellate practice. He has represented clients of all sizes through every phase of the litigation process. He has tried cases to verdict (bench and jury trials) and prosecuted and defended appeals in state and federal appellate courts. In his administrative law practice, he counsels individuals and businesses in a variety of fields on strategies for resolving regulatory and licensing disputes informally and, when necessary, through litigation. Peter is a past chair of the Maryland State Bar Association, Administrative Law Section. Additionally, Peter co-chairs Maryland Defense Counsel’s Appellate Practice Committee.

- Currently representing chemical company in 1000+ asbestos products liability cases pending in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City and the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland
- Regularly represents businesses and individuals in state, local, and federal administrative proceedings and investigations, actions for judicial review, and appeals
- Significant experience litigating state and federal constitutional claims on both sides, having successfully represented private interests and defended state and local government agencies and personnel in a variety of constitutional claims involving standing, separation of powers, and governmental organization and procedures, as well as civil rights cases involving zoning, policing, housing, and governmental immunity
- Successful defense of healthcare providers in adversarial administrative proceedings before federal and state agencies
- Significant experience litigating inter- and intra-business disputes, including merger objections and related injunction and discovery proceedings, derivative and direct D&O claims, class actions, and contractual disputes
