John Ackley

John focuses his practice on complex product liability and commercial litigation, defending manufacturers and businesses across a range of industries, including medical devices, energy, and technology. He has litigated matters in more than 25 states and regularly defends companies in courts nationwide.

Drawing on his experience as an appellate clerk, John brings a methodical, detail-oriented approach... to every stage of litigation—from threshold jurisdictional challenges through appeal. He has authored or argued hundreds of motions, and his command of civil procedure and strategic legal writing has helped secure favorable rulings on jurisdictional challenges, motions to stay, motions to dismiss, motions for judgment on the pleadings, discovery disputes, summary judgment, arbitration-related briefing, and pretrial matters.
