His practice includes matters involving breach of contract, partnership and shareholder controversies, construction claims, and commercial lease disputes. He also has experience litigating business torts, including fraud, negligent misrepresentation, breach of fiduciary duty, and tortious interference.

In addition, Emmanuel handles landlord-tenant litigation, nuisance claims between neighboring commercial properties, and disputes involving hotels and mixed-use residential developments. He has successfully worked on cases requiring urgent pretrial relief, including applications for temporary restraining orders.

Emmanuel also advises clients on contract negotiation, enforcement, and risk mitigation with the goal of preventing disputes and reducing the cost and disruption of litigation. He has also represented businesses in cross-border matters involving trade, transportation, and import/ export operations. Fluent in Spanish, he helps Spanish-speaking clients navigate U.S. legal proceedings with clarity and confidence.

Before entering private practice, Emmanuel served as a prosecutor in Chicago, where he gained extensive courtroom experience trying cases to verdict. He first and second-chaired jury trials, handled dozens of bench trials and evidentiary hearings and drafted appellate briefs. That early trial foundation continues to shape his clear, steady, and practical approach to commercial litigation.
