Experience

  • Handled patent preparation and prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent applications, patent portfolio management, infringement and validity opinions, freedom to operate evaluations, due diligence evaluations, and licensing.

  • Developed and implemented intellectual property strategies to maximize worldwide protection of products for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies of all sizes.
  • Served as U.S. patent counsel to a European companies through due diligence, public offering and acquisition.
  • Provided due diligence evaluations of intellectual property to universities, life sciences companies and venture capital companies in connection with partnerships, collaborations, acquisitions, and licensing of intellectual property assets.

Previous Professional Experience

  • Worked as a patent attorney for Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and as a patent agent for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
  • Doctoral research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Institute and post-doctoral research at Harvard University focused on the molecular genetics of cell-cycle control.
