Brian Gillespie is a partner in the firm’s Chambers-ranked Emerging Companies practice where his practice focuses primarily on representing startup companies across all industries. Brian advises his clients on all aspects of the business life cycle, including formation matters, financing matters (seed stage, growth stage, and majority deals), secondary transactions, and M&A transactions. In addition to his startup practice, Brian represents venture capital funds in financing matters and guides clients through complex M&A transactions.
Brian serves on the Recruiting and Selection Committee for Venture Atlanta, the Southeast’s largest venture capital conference.
He was chosen for the inaugural Palmetto Venture Fellowship class, a program comprised of venture capital industry experts and leaders located in South Carolina and aimed at increasing venture capital accessibility for South Carolina-based startups. Brian has been recognized as a Rising Star by the Georgia Super Lawyers in business and corporate law (2023, 2024).
