Veteran Lobbyist Joins the Nelson Mullins Government Relations Practice

WASHINGTON, DC - Veteran lobbyist Elizabeth “Liz” Demaree has joined the government relations practice at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough as a senior policy advisor. Demaree will work in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office.

Demaree most recently served as Senior Vice President at where she worked with the renowned Tony Podesta. She led the company’s efforts in the international, government, healthcare, energy and financial sectors. With more than a decade of experience overseeing strategic partnerships, media, and government relations for global organizations, Demaree has the acumen to navigate complex regulatory landscapes and has established relationships with industry leaders, NGOs, and stakeholders around the world.

In addition to her professional skillset, Liz brings a unique background to her advisory role. Named Dame of Malta for the Sovereign Military Order of Malta in 2014, she has served the Order in a myriad of ways, taking on various leadership positions dedicated to is global humanitarian efforts. 

Demaree received her undergraduate degree from the University of Limerick in Limerick, Ireland and earned a master’s degree from American University.
