Nelson Mullins partners John Lewis and Jeff Allred have earned spots on two inaugural Elite City Rankings published by leading legal directory The Legal 500.

Lewis, based in the firm’s Cleveland office, was ranked in Tier 2 among Ohio’s top attorneys in the Commercial Disputes category. In Atlanta, Allred secured a Tier 3 ranking among the city’s elite for his exceptional work in Corporate and Mergers & Acquisitions.

Their inclusion in these first-ever Elite rankings marks another milestone in their distinguished careers. Lewis has consistently been ranked by Chambers and Partners in Ohio General Commercial Litigation for more than a decade. Allred has also received repeated accolades from Best Lawyers for his excellence in M&A.

Lewis is an experienced trial lawyer and specialist in commercial litigation and business torts. He leads defense-side legal teams in one-off sophisticated commercial disputes, including transaction-related shareholder derivative and class actions, employment litigation related to non-compete and trade secret matters, professional liability and ethics-related claims, and complex supply and distribution agreement disputes. He has represented clients in high-stakes, complex disputes throughout the world and secured trial wins for public and private company clients against America’s top trial lawyers in jurisdictions around the country.

Allred offers extensive experience in strategic corporate development, with a focus on aligning strategic planning, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and organizational governance. He has led or advised companies across diverse industries on a broad range of matters, including public and private equity and debt financings, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, venture capital investments, proxy contests, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.
