The American Health Law Association (AHLA) announced on April 18 that Raleigh partner Trish Markus has been elected to its nominating committee for the upcoming year, starting on July 1. The committee identifies qualified individuals to serve as AHLA directors, officers, and members of subsequent nominating committees. On that same date, Markus also will enter her fifth year of service on AHLA's board of directors.

AHLA is the country's largest nonpartisan educational organization devoted to legal issues in the healthcare field, according to its website. The organization has close to 14,000 members and aims to promote excellence in the practice of health law through education, information, and dialogue.
