Scott Knapp Elected 76th International President of AEPi

Fort Lauderdale partner Scott Knapp will be appointed the 76th international president of Alpha Epsilon Pi (AEPi) in August of 2022. AEPi is the world’s Jewish college fraternity, operating chapters on more than 150 college campuses in four countries. Knapp will be inducted into this position at AEPi’s 109th Convention at the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa in Miami, Florida.

As the president, Knapp will be a member of the executive committee, a member of the nominating committee, and will assume the chairmanship of the board at the end of the term of the sitting chair. He is slated to take the seat of Jason Oshins, also known as supreme master.

Knapp looks forward to leading and representing the over 10,000 current undergraduates and 100,000 members of AEPi as the 76th supreme master, and giving back to an organization that inspires future leaders.

AEPi remains the world's only Jewish college fraternity. The organization, founded at New York University in 1913, currently has chapters in the United States, Canada, England, Scotland, Austria, Australia, and Israel. The fraternity aims to apply its mission through acts of brotherhood, Tzedakah, or acts of charity, social awareness, and support for Jewish communities. One of his goals in leading AEPi is to continue strengthening the alumni and business networking aspects of the organization, including offering undergraduates mentorship and career advice, an effort he says AEPi has diligently worked toward over the last few years.

Knapp has been involved with AEPi since his time spent studying as an undergraduate at Florida State University, where he earned a B.S., magna cum laude. Knapp, who also holds his Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law, also recently obtained an executive education certificate from Kellogg/Northwestern from its Board Member Institute.

He has been recognized for his practice by the South Florida Business Journal, Florida's Legal Elite, South Florida Legal Guide, the Daily Business Review, South Florida Business and Wealth, Martindale, Florida Super Lawyers, Palm Beach Illustrated, Fort Lauderdale Illustrated, and the Broward County Bar Association. Knapp also serves on the board of B’nai B’rith International, and is the past president of the B'nai B'rith Justice Unit (a South Florida voluntary bar association), and served as Chairman of a Florida Bar grievance committee.

Knapp's practice spans a broad background in complex business and civil litigation, representing clients in matters ranging from healthcare litigation and class actions to consumer protection and bankruptcy-related litigation. From the early stages of a dispute, Knapp employs a tactical and entrepreneurial approach to litigation.
