RALEIGH, N.C. – The Triangle Business Journal has named Robert L. Wilson, Jr., the Raleigh office managing partner of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP, as one of the 2023 winners for its annual Health Care Leadership Awards for his work with the Rural Healthcare Initiative (RHI), which he co-founded in 2021. This organization assists healthcare facilities in rural areas with strategy and planning, operations and finance, and legal and compliance work to ensure that they are consistent with other hospitals and modes of healthcare delivery. Within the first year, the RHI has consulted with multiple hospitals around the nation and is recognized as a leader in making healthcare more accessible to rural communities.
“I’m gratified by the recognition that our Rural Healthcare Initiative is a concept that resonates with people who understand the dynamic and complex problems associated with sustaining community-based healthcare. The success of our work is totally dependent upon the talents of the Initiative’s co-sponsors whose collaboration contributes so much every week to this mission,” Wilson said, “It’s a privilege to work with them and to help our friends who are on the front lines of healthcare in our communities, 24/7/365.”
There will be a private dinner on April 13, 2023, at Angus Barn Wine Cellar to celebrate all 14 honorees. Profiles for all winners will be published in a dedicated section on the April 14 edition of the newspaper.
