NEW YORK — Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP partner Leandro Molina and associate Rebecca Lester led a team that represented RX Ventures, a venture capital fund for Lojas Renner SA, a publicly traded Brazilian company, in its investment with Volpe Capital in the U.S. company Connectly Inc. Connectly Inc. is an AI powered conversational commerce platform that helps online and offline retailers automate their marketing campaigns using chat-based communications.

Connectly has developed a solution via WhatsApp that increases marketing efficiency by optimizing clients’ preferences using large language models. Through a no-code easy setup product, Connectly enables clients to engage in AI-generated conversations with their consumers, catering to various marketing and sales purposes, including promotions, abandoned cart recovery, surveys and product sales.

The deal closed on Oct. 3 and culminated in a $7.85 million Series A financing round.

Molina has more than 18 years of experience working as a corporate finance attorney. He represents start-ups, emerging companies and investors in corporate matters, M&A and financing rounds in all tech sectors. He also provides advice to foreign clients accessing the U.S. market, as well as to U.S. companies and funds investing in Latin America. Leandro Molina is dual-qualified in the USA and Brazil (New York and São Paulo) and is a Foreign Legal Consultant in Florida.

Lester advises multinational corporations, emerging growth companies, and venture capital investors in a variety of transactions, including private equity, financings, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters.
