COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) has honored Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP with a 2022 Compass Award, recognizing those law firms and corporations showing a strong commitment to building more diverse organizations and a more inclusive legal profession.
LCLD is one of the nation’s leading organizations promoting diversity and consists of more than 430 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners – the leadership of the profession – who have dedicated themselves to creating a truly diverse U.S. legal profession, according to the organization. Managing Partner Jim Lehman has been a member since 2015.
The Compass Award recognizes those individuals and organizations that fulfill all of the following requirements in a single calendar year:

Under the leadership of this committee, the firm provides targeted pipeline and professional development programs and continued support of affinity and networking groups that support female, minority, and LGBTQ+ attorneys. The firm has a chief diversity, equity, and inclusion partner; two attorneys who serve as diversity partners; and a director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
