The Health Care Compliance Institute (HCCA) held its annual award ceremony on April 15 and Nelson Mullins partner Gabriel Imperato was the recipient of this year’s HCCA Compliance Award, which recognizes an outstanding member for elevating the compliance and ethics profession. Representatives from the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics & Health Care Compliance Association (SCCE & HCCA) and the Compliance Certification Board (CCB) review and select individual candidates and companies who are nominated for their innovative accomplishments and efforts to move the industry forward.

Imperato is the Fort Lauderdale managing partner and the leader of the firm's Health Care Enforcement, Compliance, and Litigation team. He is a longtime member of the SCCE & HCCA Board of Directors and previously served as the organization’s president and interim CEO.
