New York —Nayax Ltd. (Nasdaq: NYAX; TASE: NYAX), a leading global commerce enablement, payments, and loyalty platform has acquired VMtecnologia, valued at $22 million U.S. dollars, a leading technology provider for the automated self-service industry in Brazil.
"This acquisition immediately expands Nayax's addressable market and significantly increases our penetration in the self-service market in Brazil and Latin America," said Nayax CEO Yair Nechmad. Nayax is preparing to expand VMTecnologia's operations in Latin America to 2,400 retailers across 27 states.
Nelson Mullins partners Caio Prado and Jon Talcott, chair of the Securities practice, acted as U.S. Counsel for VMTecnologia in the acquisition. The transaction is expected to be completed in the second half of 2024, as the companies await the fulfillment of the agreement’s conditions.
