Rothstein, left, and Daniels
Veteran corporate attorneys Paul Rothstein and Joe Daniels have been named co-chairs of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP’s globally recognized Emerging Companies Practice. Daniels recently joined from McCarter English, where he was chair of the firm’s Venture Capital & Emerging Growth Companies Group. Rothstein is a longtime member of the Corporate Group and Emerging Companies team, having joined Nelson Mullins in 2012.
“We are excited that Paul and Joe will be leading this team into its next growth chapter,” said Atlanta Office Managing Partner Michael Hollingsworth. “Their experience coupled with their outstanding leadership abilities will allow the team to continue its phenomenal growth and guide the group as it continues to provide outstanding services to our clients.”
Rothstein and Daniels take over as co-chairs from Doug Spear, who is credited with building the globally ranked Emerging Companies team. Spear remains as a senior advisor to the firm, but is taking on an in-house role as Chief Legal Officer for Greenlight® Financial Technology, Inc., a family FinTech company that helps parents raise financially smart kids.
“We are grateful to Doug for his years of leadership and for helping us build a team that is recognized for our dedication and service to our clients,” said co-chair Rothstein. “We also are excited to welcome Joe. Joe’s demonstrated leadership and experience will help ensure that our team will continue to succeed.”
“I have been an admirer of this team for quite some time and know that Doug’s shoes will be hard to fill,” added co-chair Daniels. “I look forward to working with the team and continuing on the growth and success trajectory that Doug established.”
