Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP made the largest climb in this year’s, The American Lawyer Pro Bono Scorecard, rising 26 places from No. 71 to No. 45. In recognizing the firm’s achievement, The American Lawyer noted that “Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough ascended the most in the ranking." 

The recognition reflects the collective commitment of Nelson Mullins lawyers, professional staff, and firm leaders to expanding access to justice and serving clients and causes that might otherwise go without legal representation.

Since launching its formal program 35 years ago, Nelson Mullins has contributed more than one million hours to expanding access to justice. In 2025, Nelson Mullins lawyers and professionals contributed nearly 60,000 hours of pro bono service and opened more than 600 new pro bono matters.
