Nelson Mullins Closes $10 Million Series A Investment Round for Parfin

A team from Nelson Mullins represented Parity Holding Ltd (Parfin) in the recent initial closing of Parfin’s Series A investment round for $10 million, which will strengthen its global expansion. The team, led by Nelson Mullins partner Leandro Molina and associate Rebecca Lester, closed the deal, which was published on August 14. The same Nelson Mullins team previously represented Parfin in its $15 million Series Seed closing, which was one of the largest funding rounds for a London Startup and the largest pre-Series A financing round in Latin America last year.

Parfin, a digital assets infrastructure company, plans to reach $16 million by the end of a second closing. The funds will be used to expand its enterprise-grade blockchain Rayls, which launched in June 2024. Rayls is an EVM blockchain system that unifies permissioned and public blockchains focused on enterprise-grade solutions. Further funding will provide the capital to expand its operations in Latin America, Europe and Asia.

In a statement, Parfin CEO and co-founder Marcos Viriato said, “With this new funding, we can help more banks and financial institutions realize new sources of revenue and stay relevant by leveraging the efficiency, security, and transparency of digital assets.”

Molina has nearly 20 years of experience working as a corporate finance attorney. He represents start-ups, emerging companies and investors in corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions, and financing rounds in all tech sectors. He also advises foreign clients accessing the U.S. market, as well as to U.S. companies and funds investing in Latin America. He is dual-qualified in the USA and Brazil (New York and São Paulo) and is a Foreign Legal Consultant in Florida.

Lester advises multinational corporations, emerging growth companies, and venture capital investors in a variety of transactions, including private equity, financings, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters. Her practice focuses primarily on cross-border transactions, especially with LatAm entities and investors.

Nelson Mullins’ attorneys and the firm’s venture capital practice have been consistently ranked in prominent legal rankings and publications, including Chambers USA, Legal 500, Legal 500 Latin America and Pitchbook.
