Nelson Mullins Awards Four Students 2024 Dick Riley Scholarship

Nelson Mullins selected four students to receive this year’s Dick Riley Scholarship, which recognizes exceptional law students who demonstrate a commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and social justice throughout the legal profession.

It’s the ninth year the firm has offered the scholarship program, which is now named for Nelson Mullins partner Dick Riley, former Governor of South Carolina and Secretary of the U.S. Department of Education. Open to second year law students, the scholarship program reflects the firm’s deep commitment to those who uphold the value of diversity and the role of law in advancing social justice such as through our Nelson Mullins Pro Bono Team and programs.

Congratulations to the following recipients who will also spend the summer working at Nelson Mullins:

  • Laura Kaupas, Emory University School of Law (Atlanta office)
  • Cristofer Kelman, University of Denver Sturm College of Law (Denver office)
  • Cameron Obioha, Mercer University School of Law (Columbia, SC office)
  • Anzario Bernard Serrant, University of Minnesota Law School (Minneapolis office)
