Firm completes SOC 2 TYPE 2 with HITRUST CSF audit

Recently, Nelson Mullins achieved a significant information security milestone by successfully completing the SOC 2 TYPE 2 with HITRUST CSF criteria audit for the period ending Feb. 28, 2021.  A SOC 2 Type 2 audit, conducted by Schellman and Company, tests whether a company’s controls meet the stringent requirements of the SOC 2 security framework. The additional HITRUST CSF component of the SOC 2 audit demonstrates an organization’s conformity to the rigorous HITRUST requirements for protecting personal health information.

This audit, in conjunction with its ISO 27001:2013 certification, demonstrates the firm’s continued commitment to the protection of client information, the firm’s information security team said.
