Susan Davis joined the firm's Boston office in 2017 and practices in the area of commercial real estate law. She has extensive experience in commercial real estate transactions, including multi-family housing and office properties.
1. What has been the biggest hurdle you have overcome in your career?
My biggest career hurdle was trying to balance work while raising my three daughters.
2. Describe how you feel about your career now that you’ve made partner.
I am very excited about the prospect of continuing to build my practice now that I have made partner. I expect that being a partner will enhance my business development efforts.
3. What are your key components to being successful in your career?
The most significant component to being successful in my career is the experience I have gained through my many years of practice as a commercial real estate attorney, including experience in many different aspects of commercial real estate.
4. Who had the greatest influence in your career that helped drive you to partnership?
I had the opportunity to work with a couple of very successful women partners early in my career, and they were terrific role models.
5. What’s the best piece of advice you would give an associate who wants to make partner?
I would advise associates to focus on staying consistently busy in an effort to build their experience and to also seek exposure to a variety of projects in their field.
