Charleston partner John Hagerty recently received the Mary Ramsey Civic Award at the Spoleto Festival USA. Named after the late Mary Croghan Ramsay, the Mary Ramsay Civic Award is given to those who have displayed considerable civic and charitable leadership within the community. The award is a remembrance of all the good works and determination Ramsay had for bettering the Lowcountry.
Hagerty has served as general counsel to the Spoleto Festival USA Board of Directors for 27 years as well as the Board Secretary for nine years. His leadership and philanthropy exceed his pro bono involvement with Spoleto.
