FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Rebecca Rodriguez, a partner in the Fort Lauderdale office of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP, has been named an On the Rise honoree for the Daily Business Review’s 2023 Florida Legal Awards.
The award honors 20 of South Florida most promising attorneys under the age of 40 for their professional excellence, strong leadership, and charitable or volunteer work. Rodriguez and other honorees will be recognized at the DBR’s 2023 Florida Legal Awards in Miami on May 17, 2023.
Rodriguez is a litigator who is Board Certified in Real Estate Law by The Florida Bar and has substantial experience in real estate disputes concerning secured financing. Her practice focuses on state and federal litigation, appeals, and regulatory compliance matters for corporate clients, financial institutions, and government entities.
Outside of the courtroom, Rodriguez devotes her time and talents to several organizations across Broward County. She currently serves on The Florida Bar’s Professional Ethics Committee and Governmental Law and Public Policy Advocacy Committee. From 2020 to 2021, Rodriguez served as a director on the Board of Directors for the Legal Aid Service of Broward County and Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida, Inc.
In 2021, Rodriguez was selected as a Fellow of the Leadership Council On Legal Diversity (LCLD). LCLD’s programs nurture and develop a new generation of diverse attorneys so that they reach leadership positions in their own organizations.
