BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic University’s Foundation Board of Directors re-elected Nelson Mullins partner Raul Valero to serve his second three-year term. During this term, Valero will serve as the Foundation’s philanthropy chair. Board members were selected to oversee fundraising efforts and manage assets for the Foundation.

Among other objectives, the FAU Foundation builds opportunities for FAU students and alumni in education, health, and environment. They do so by offering scholarships and fellowships to FAU students, working to attract and retain endowed chairs and professors, and investing in research programs, university infrastructure, and community health clinics. Valero earned his bachelor’s degree from FAU in 2010 and played football for the university from 2005 to 2007. He now concentrates his law practice in real estate, representing both regional and national developers, investors, owners, landlords, tenants, borrowers, and lenders in commercial transactions.
