Attorneys Chosen for Charleston Business Magazine’s Legal Elite 2020

Charleston Business Magazine announced the winners of its 2020 Legal Elite of the Lowcountry awards in its August edition, which included eight Nelson Mullins attorneys.
John Hagerty, Wendy Parker, Newman Jackson Smith, Merritt Abney, and Jennifer Williams Davis took home the most votes in their respective categories of Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights, Environmental, Government, Healthcare, and Tax and Estate. Nelson Mullins attorneys made the list in eight categories total, including:

The 2020 Legal Elite of the Lowcountry honors attorneys based on peer votes from other attorneys in the area. Attorneys must have nominations outside of their own firms to be included and cannot vote for themselves.
