ATLANTA – Atlanta partner Erika Birg has been named chair of the Dispute Resolution Section for the State Bar of Georgia. The section provides a resource for litigators and neutrals to share information, hosting continuing legal education and professional events geared to the betterment of alternative dispute resolution throughout the state. She will serve in this capacity for one year. Birg also serves as the leader of the Nelson Mullins Atlanta office’s Dispute Resolution Services group of neutrals. The Dispute Resolution Services group focuses on assisting litigators around Atlanta with early neutral evaluation, mediation, and arbitration, as well as helping parties resolve their cases out of the courtroom.
Birg is a first-chair trial attorney focusing on helping business owners, officers, and directors protect their companies’ interests before, during, and after litigation, with experience in resolving disputes in arbitration, mediation, and state and federal courts throughout the country. With her background in business litigation, she enjoys assisting parties with resolving their cases out of the courtroom. Birg serves on the Large and Complex Case Panel for the American Arbitration Association and regularly serves as the sole arbitrator or chair of three-person arbitration panels.
