Who's Who in Law 2021: Michael A. Brown, Nelson Mullins

The Baltimore Business Journal has profiled partner Mike Brown in its Who's Who in Law 2021 edition. Brown, who helped open the firm's Baltimore office in 2018, said he often shares his story with young professionals and law associates to remind them that it doesn't matter where you start or how slow you move in the beginning. It's all about "where you finish."
In discussing his career path, Brown said he told himself long ago that once he had accumulated enough economic power and business to get the top brass at law firms to listen to him, he would use that influence to improve diverse hiring and retention and ensure that "young lawyers of color do not have to fight the same way I did."
