Several individuals were honored with Presidential Citations at the American Health Law Association’s 2024 Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. Trish Markus, Raleigh partner and 2023-2024 AHLA President, bestowed Presidential Citations upon five individuals this year, including Nelson Mullins partner Bob Wilson. The Citations recognized those who played an important role during her tenure as President.

In the September/October 2024 issue of AHLA’s Health Law Connections Magazine, Markus explained why Wilson deserves the honor:

“For his dependability, career mentorship, and following his instincts. Bob, my longtime law partner, hired me 28 years ago despite my utter lack of health law knowledge. He taught me the meaning of excellent client service and how to approach thorny legal issues, and I’ll never forget his moral support and snarky comments after one of my first presentations went disastrously.”
